  • Ad Campaign Management is a process where one or more persons manage the setup, length / duration, statistics, metrics and other characteristics of advertising campaigns.
  • Bandwidth – In the context of your website or media hosting, bandwidth is the amount of Internet transmission capacity that your content consumes. Internet network companies charge for bandwidth usage. You pay for this as part of your web hosting fees as well as CDN/Content Delivery Network fees. In these agreements your usage is either capped with a fixed maximum amount per month, or, may also charge “overage” fees, analogous to cellular phone network overages to their “minutes” usage.
  • Content Delivery Network (CDN) is a system of Internet servers that distribute media files, audio, video, images, documents, etc., in a scalable and performance oriented architecture. CDN hosting is generally separate from the hosting associated with your website and is optimized for the delivery of media. Although a CDN account is separate from your web hosting account, delivering a significant amount media via your Web server is much more expensive than using a CDN.
  • CDN Hosting Fees – Content Delivery Networks are optimized for the delivery of the kinds of content that require more bandwidth – such as video, audio, images, applications, etc. CDN Hosting Fees are generally set up on a one to two year contract with monthly recurring rates. The largest CDN’s are Akamai, LimeLight and Level 3. Entry-level accounts for these start at $2k - $3k per month.
  • Content Management System (CMS) is a program used to manage work flow to collaboratively create, edit, review, index, search, publish and archive various kinds of digital media and electronic text.
  • eCommerce is the process and application system that facilitates the buying and selling of goods and services over the Internet.
  • Google Adwords is an ad network where you build keyword campaigns and insert Google provided code into your website to display Google ads.
  • Graphic Support – Graphic artist support for the creation of website graphic content such as logos, artwork, graphic content elements, etc., as well as the creation of images for web and banner advertising.
  • Media Conversion – This is a fairly broad category term. In general, it refers to the process or work required to convert existing media from its current form into a new form or format required for a new process. For example, existing photo images may need to be edited, sized, and saved in multiple layouts. Images existing in print form would need to be digitally scanned, edited and saved in needed sizes and formats. Similarly, audio or video content may need to be converted from its legacy format, edited, then saved into the needed digital version formats and sizes.
  • Multimedia Content refers to a mix of content which can include text, images, audio, video, etc.
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO) involves editing content and associated coding to increase keyword relevance and remove barriers to search engine indexing.
  • Servers – Servers are high performance computers that host programs and deliver content to users. Internet Servers host software applications and content and respond to user requests or simple browsing to deliver the applications and/or content
